OUR STORY

We’re often asked what Hydda means — and where it comes from.

So here’s the story behind the name, the values and the idea that shaped Hydda.

Hydda is a Swedish word meaning shelter or cabin. A hydda is built from natural materials to protect people from the elements. It must be strong, thoughtful and in balance with its surroundings.

That idea became the foundation of Hydda.

A shelter for sustainable brands

To us, Hydda represents a sustainable brand.

A sustainable brand is like a shelter — built with respect for nature and guided by strong values. It’s designed to last. And just like a well-built cabin, it stands firm even when conditions are challenging.

In recent years, brands have faced unprecedented turbulence: war, energy crises, pandemics and constant market uncertainty. We believe that brands built responsibly, with clarity and purpose, are better equipped to endure and adapt.

But sustainability alone is not enough.

A brand also needs structure, direction and a clear path for growth. That’s why we turned our philosophy into a practical framework — a model that helps brands build, grow and endure in a changing world.

The Hydda Growth Model is our approach to creating brands that don’t just survive turbulence, but grow through it — with clarity, consistency and purpose.
